DETAIL ITINERARY

Day 1. Hanoi – Day Bus to Sapa – Trekking to Muong Hoa Valley (L)

6:30 – 6:50 am: Driver and guide will pick up you from your hotel in the Old Quarter only and then depart for Sapa. You will have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful scenery of the region on the road.

13:00: After about a 5- hour driver with short break en route, you arrive Sapa Town. Enjoy lunch in local restaurant and check in

14:30: Driver and guide take you to visit Muong Hoa Valley. Spectacular scenery of the highest part of Hoang Lien Range including Fansipan Peak can be seen in the first 7 km of the road trip with many photo stops. Then the valley suddenly opens wide as you reach to Lao Chai. From high elevation to the road you can see the whole valley, the Muong Hoa River winds its way through the valley bottom and small villages and hamlets of the Hmong and Dzay peoples scattering on the other side of the river, even very high on hill slopes. Leaving the main road, you will take a walk following the foot path downhill and then crossing the river to the other side to pay visiting to Lao Chai village of the Hmong and Ta Van of the Zay during which you will drop in several local homes for experiencing their hospitality as well as observing the traditional living way.

17:00 : you will be transferred back to your hotel

Day 2. Sapa – Taking Muong Hoa Train – Conquering Fansipan by Cable Car – Back Sapa by Muong Hoa Train – Day Bus back Hanoi – No guide on this day. (B,L)

07:00: You have breakfast at the hotel.

08:00: Collect Muong Hoa Train tickets and cable car tickets from the hotel reception and you explore Muong Hoa Train and cable car by your own, no tour guide on this day. Taking a walk around 3 minutes to Muong Hoa train station. Taking Muong Hoa Train to Fansipan Station. Enjoying the fantastic scenery of Muong Hoa valley from the height. Arriving Fansipan station, get on cable car which begins the journey conquering Fansipan by modern cable car system in the world to the point of 2800m then continue gaining for Fansipan at an altitude of 3.143m – the “Roof of Indochina“.

It normally takes people one or two days to reach the peak of Fansipan mountain on foot. However, if you take the three-rope cable car system it just takes within 15-20 minutes to carry you from the bottom to the highest point of the mountain. Fansipan Cable Car is kind of a modern three-wire cable in the world, it is just the first time to present in Asia. With total of 35 cabins, this cable car will pass 6 main pillars then bring you fly over 6.2km long from Muong Hoa Valley to Fansipan cable Station. The distance from a pillar to the next pillar will be 1 km.

While traveling by cable car, you can enjoy the scenery and magnificent views to Sapa and swallow views of Muong Hoa valley, Hoang Lien National Forest as well as beautiful landscapes of Lai Chau province. After conquering the Fanipan Peak, you will also take able car to get back the foot of mountain. Then you get Muong Hoa train to back Sapa Town around 1 pm. Having lunch at the local restaurant.

Then get transfer to bus office at 14:30 pm. Bus limousine leaves Sapa at 3 pm, back Hanoi around 9 pm. Trip ends in Hanoi Old Quarter.
