DETAIL ITINERARY

DAY 1 : HANOI ARRIVAL

Transfer via: International flight – your arrangement
Up on arrival in Hanoi , we will be welcomed by Vietnam Typical Tours car and driver, transferred to hotel in the city center, check in and relax.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR (L)

After having breakfast the tour guide and shuttle bus will arrive to pick up you to join Hanoi city tour at 8.30am. You will start the tour by visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ho Chi Minh Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-palace. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts where he used to live in the past. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, built by King Ly Thai To in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Continue to visit the Temple of Literature (Quoc Tu Giam) – Vietnam’s first University constructed in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past.

Have lunch at local restaurants. Proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum. After that we will take you to Hoan Kiem Lake, see the peaceful water, and visit Ngoc Son Temple. Take an hour cyclo tour around the bustling old quarter to see the ordinary life in Hanoi.

At 18.00, Back to your hotel. It’s your free time now to have dinner and a short while to explore the streets of Hanoi. After your dinner, around 20.00,  Our tour assistant pick up from your hotel to go to Tran Quy Cap train station. He will lead you to your cabin on the train. The train departs for Sapa and sleep the night on train. Travel time approx 9 hrs.

DAY 2 : LAO CAI – SAPA – LAO CHAI – TA VAN – GIANG TA CHAI (MUONG HOA VALLEY) ( B, L, D)

Arrival Lao cai , Shuttle bus will transfer you go up hill to Sapa, for breakfast.
Depart from Sapa town by car to Lao Chai village, following the road down the hill. Views of the Muong Hoa valley and magnificent surroundings of mountains and rice terrace fields can be seen from this road. Along the road, people from many ethnic groups (H’mong, Zay, and Red Dao) are likely to be met, and there are stalls along the way that serve tea, fruits and sweets. Soon after turning off the main road and taking a local path, we will arrive in the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai, where you will experience the daily life of the villagers. After that, we walk from Lao Chai to Ta Van village, where the Zay hill tribes live. Here you take a rest and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by your local guide in a local house. After lunch you trek up and downhill. Specially you will trek  through bamboo forest then relax beside the waterfall. Explore the Red Dao village of Giang Ta Chai where you will also have the chance to see their daily activities. In the afternoon the car will pick you up for the return journey to Sa Pa.

Day 3: Cat Cat – Sin Chai – Lao Cai – Hanoi (B, L,D)

A walk down to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) to visit Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong. Relax at the food of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. Enjoy picnic lunch by the side of the river, and then next 6 km to Sin Chai, the village located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”. From here you can enjoy huge stunning landscapes before climbing up on the way a jeep to return to Sapa. Take a fresh shower in the hotel before heading to Lao Cai train station for the night train back to Ha Noi. Overnigh on train

DAY 4 : HANOI – HALONG BAY (L,D)

Around 5:00 AM, you will arrive Hanoi. Our guide will pick you up at station then take you to hotel. You will have free time to relax and have breakfast before starting Halong Bay Tour.

08h00 – 08h30 : Pick-up at hotel and start the scenic, 3 and ½ hour drive to Halong Bay.
12h30 – 13h00 : Embark on V’Spirit Classic Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing.
13h30 – 14h30 : Savor a delectable lunch as V’Spirit Classic cruises among the limestone islands.
14h30 – 15h30 : Explore the amazing Sung Sot Cave – the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay.
15h30 – 16h30 : Kayak among the hidden areas of the bay, around the Drum Cave area.
16h30 – 17h30 : Return to the main boat and continue cruising to the quiet area while enjoy beautiful seascape on the way.
17h30 – 19h00 : Enjoy Sunset Party on sundeck and admire the best moments of the day when the sun starts to set.
19h00 : Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests, take part in board games, fish for squid, or just laze around.

DAY 5 : HALONG BAY – HANOI (B/L)

06h30 – 07h30 : Start your day with Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunt.
07h30 – 08h30 : Have breakfast on board and enjoy the peaceful morning of Halong Bay.
08h30 – 09h30 : Cruising to Titov island. Go swimming and relaxing at the beach of Titov or climb up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay.
09h30 : Return to the boat. Freshen up and check out of your cabin.
09h30 – 10h30 : Continue your cruise exploring the Bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, and more.
10h30 – 11h30 : While heading back to the harbor, watch the fruit carving demonstration and participate in the Cooking Class before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
10h30 – 11h30 : Disembark V’Spirit Classic.
12h30 – 13h00 : Transfer back to Hanoi.

DAY 6 : FREE DAY – FLY TO HO CHI MINH CITY (B)

You have free day to go around Hanoi for sight-seeing and shopping.

Transfer to airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh city.

DAY 7 : CU CHI TUNNELS – HO CHI MINH CITY (B,L)

7h30 – 7h45 am In the morning we will visit Cu Chi tunnels first. Located 60km from Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi is now considered a heroic district for its role during the American war in Vietnam. It is legendary for its network of tunnels, which extend over 220km, and is a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.
Today, Cu Chi is a tranquil place of rice paddy fields with ducks and water buffalos bathing in the rivers alongside the road. But this peaceful rural scene belies the terrible destruction and defoliation caused by bombing and mines when Cu Chi was a “Free Target Zone”. Cu Chi still contains plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here and all over this area you will find the remnants of war.
After break for lunch, we will back to HCM City to visit the War Remnant Museum, the Reunification Palace, which was the residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975, and some beautiful French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Catheral and the Old Central Post Office. We end the city tour at Ben Thanh market where anything and everything is for sales.

DAY 8 : HO CHI MINH CITY – CAI BE – TAN PHONG (B,L,D)

6.30 AM: Depart for Cai Be by car/van via Trung Luong Express Highway, stopping to take photos in Tan An town overlooking the picturesque flat rice fields.
9.30 AM: On arrival in Cai Be, set off by motor boat to visit the Cai Be floating market and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on board their vessels. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made. Then wander into the small villages to visit the orchard and fruit plantation, accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music.
11.30 AM: Keep cruising to a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Arrive in Tan Phong island, join to a cooking class. Enjoy your cooking experience and learn how to prepare special Vietnamese dishes. Food cooked by yourself and fresh river food served in the heart of the garden. Relax on the hammocks to get back your energy.
14.00 PM: Cycle around the village path with fruit orchards and bonsai garden. Meet the local islanders to learn more about the local daily life in the Mekong delta.
15.00 PM: Meet our local guide and transfer to the island for the overnight homestay experience with the local people. After meeting your home stay hosts, you’re free to walk around the house and village to explore the countryside.  You will prepare your own dinner (Vietnamese dishes) with help from your host.

DAY 9 : CAI BE – HO CHI MINH CITY (B, L)

After breakfast, you will be visiting Mr Ba Duc’s ancient house. It’s one of several houses preserved in harmonious combination of two architectural styles: Vietnamese and French, whose shape is unique to the colonial period.
Today, you will also visit a rice husking mill to learn about the procedure for rice production. Mekong Delta is popular for its own unique charm.  In Cai Be, a lot of materials are still hand-crafted, such as: “Cham La”, the coconut leaves used to weave the roofs of homes. If you want to see how bricks are made, you’ll see it here. After lunch at a restaurant serving local cuisine, you will taking back to HCMC by Van/Bus. Trip ends in Hochiminh city around 4:30 PM.

DAY 10 : HO CHI MINH DEPARTURE (B)

Breakfast at hotel and free until 8h30 am the driver will transfer to the airport for your flight to your home country.
